Human rights issues are not political. The attempt by the right to cast them as political serves to suppress discussion and progress by making the very act of discussing these things at all be seen as taboo. We can’t let that happen.

How did you design this in a way that it would require a “substantial update” to swap out the API URL? It should be as easy as setting an environmental variable. There are many LLM providers and local LLMs that support the openAI API schema.

FWIW you can use C++ on Arduino.

C is a 100% valid language to spend your time on.

This is such an incorrect take for real. C is far from useless and still used all over the place in all kinda of professional projects. And I’m talking new projects started this year, not just legacy maintenance.

That being said there are plenty of high quality music making apps on phones and tablets. Apple’s Logic Pro and Koala Sampler come to mind. Even if it won’t handle the full production, is a great way to get started when inspiration hits.

There is also an entire class of synthesizer / modeller that can ONLY really be played on a touchscreen (see GeoShred).

It’s also (IMO) a bit gatekeepy to suggest that good music can’t be made on the simplest of equipment. There are so many absolutely fire tracks that have been made on nothing but a pirated copy of FL studio and a school laptop. Before that it was a tape recorder in the bathroom.
