The yellow sticker usually correspond to what tote they belong in and the order they’re in for the delivery route, first thing you typically do is unpack a tote in the truck and sort them by number for ease of access.

My brain wants to trigger this sorting mode whenever I grab my packages, and it just reminds me of that terrible job.

Amazon has a system of desperate contractor companies that are absolutely reliant on amazon since they own the warehouses, trucks, and everything, but are also a moment away from having their contract ended, basically destroying the company. As a result you’re not really respected even if your employer tries hard to, they just can’t care for employees at risk of dissolving.

Used to be an Amazon delivery driver. Cursed with the knowledge of what all those stickers mean on my packages.

Also you’ll start noticing their massive delivery trucks everywhere.

I think the NFT bubble is more apt.

This feels like when my brother backed up a file with Onedrive, then figured he could delete the original… the one that Onedrive was keeping track of.

It’s not that these aren’t confusing, but why risk your file without testing what the software will do first? Especially before hitting anything like “delete” or “discard”?

I ask it for help when I’m unfamiliar with a library/language or if I’m getting complex errors.

But I always type out the code myself, making sure I’m reading each line and understanding what’s happening.

Even for boilerplate if you just let the ai go at it, it’ll generate a Frankenstein boilerplate of an outdated standard.

As a pansexual I feel that Bi and Pan have enough differences to both be justified while the others are micro labels (not invalid, just less useful as labels).

I already planned on my next computer being Linux Mint, but it’s getting more and more desired as time goes on.

I was playing Elden Ring when it began stuttering, turns out Windows Defender was just constantly reading the disk (I still have a hard drive). Finally turned off maximum priority (seemingly random) scans in task scheduler when I began stuttering again. This time it was Windows Compatibility Telemetry taking up 50% of the disk, until I finally found a way to turn that off.

It’d be so nice to have an OS that doesn’t run random unnecessary things without your permission.

If you want barebones Windows I’d suggest you cough cough obtain Windows 10 LTSC.

It’s got most the bloatware cut out, you just have to reenable the old style picture viewer.

Though when I eventually make a new PC, I’m probably just gonna use Linux Mint because I hear running Windows games/software isn’t nearly as bad nowadays, thanks Steam.

Honestly, I think capitalism wouldn’t be so bad if it was limited to what it’s good at. Fashion, tech, entertainment, snacks, ect.

But essential food, housing, water, healthcare, even electricity and internet access, the idea that these things that will always have infinite demand is haphazardly controlled through profit motive is disgusting.

Infrastructures should be government controlled and free. Essential resources should have some sort of universal basic “food stamps” system. Then actual money just becomes the luxury “fun bucks” that you don’t lose out on if you don’t have a lot. For example pet owners would be given a credits for pet food and free vet care, but a silly pet costume would use money.
