I use betas almost everywhere, and apart from firefox sometimes having minor bugs (expectable in nightly), I’ve never had any real issues. So yeah, until it breaks down completely I’ll just use beta.

I had net.thunderbird.android.beta already installed from the official github releases, so ig that’s the official variant. I just wonder if it can automatically update from F-Droid (basic), considering it was technically installed by my browser.

I use rsync to incrementally back up / to a separate drive, as well as a drive on another device (my server), which then packs, compresses and encrypts the latest backup of all devices daily, and uploads them to Hetzner as well as GDrive.

I changed friends to mainly the ones here on lemmy, specifically the german communities, and I was surprised that there’s an actual kinda cult here, just by the germans/ich_iel’ers, with it’s own community, and also a lot of members in Matrix. So I didn’t really see people switch to arch, but rather I changed friends to the much more nerdy type where arch is more common.

Why is arch at the top tho? Apparently Steam OS is its own point, are those the Steam OS clones also based on Arch? Or maybe, people just accepted the superiority of Arch (/s)

Not in my experience. The electron spotify app + electron discord app + games was too much. Replacing electron with dedicated FF instances worked tho.
