It’s no worries - most people don’t realize this but every git repository is, well, a fully functional git repository. Git shell runs over ssh so as long as your machines have sshd running you should be good.

I don’t because I’m not working in the US but I do have a retirement fund. I can critize the system we live in and those that revel in exploiting it while also realizing that if I completely eschew investment I’ll be a pauper. I’m not going to bankrupt myself and be unable to afford my partner’s medical expenses to win an argument on the internet.
I’m aware that the stock market is slicing off income from laborers in an unjust manner - it slices off my income as well… I don’t celebrate participating in this system, but I do participate in it while acknowledging how bad it is. It isn’t a significant portion of my income and if I could personally will it out of existence I would.
By your definition game development (in the old style) is also passive income… so is art… so is building a house or a car or pretty much any form of manufacturing.
These activities all involve building something with no promise of selling it - then trying to find a buyer… in each case you, the producer, are investing up front in a venture which may or may not succeed and then hoping someone will pay you for it.
But being loud about it just contributes to the problem!
Git doesn’t need to have a single pull source. It’s probably worth just configuring the visibility on each machine so you can do peer pulls.
I don’t hate the idea of autocommitting in that scenario, though.

Passive income is a myth - all income requires labor… if you’re getting income without putting in labor then you’re stealing someone else’s income.
Regular coffee is a coffee. People say regular coffee because they’ve gotten fatigue from “which type?” questions. I’m more annoyed that the understanding of coffee has shifted away from the default just being an espresso. Over here in Spain if you ask for cafe you’ll get a cafe solo.

By SPA I mean “single page application” it’s currently the dominant approach and powered in a large part by technologies like react and node. I’m not certain when it started precisely… with technology it’s more a case of “rising to prominence” rather than “first happened” I think it probably really started going around 2014 with HTML5?
SPAs are still pretty hot but they’ve waned in popularity due to overuse and general complexity. Essentially your website becomes a single page that just swaps out what’s shown to the user as they “navigate” between different parts of the site. When well done this can make a site incredibly responsive, but it’s often quite poorly done and responsiveness can end up blocked by server requests anyways.
Lord of the Rings (the books) are terribly written by modern novel standards and while the story is amazing their value purely as literature is quite low. I will always defend people who loved the movies and couldn’t get into the books.
