Need a simple end to end encrypted email solution, and for regular users to understand that solution isn’t Gmail for fax to die. The health and financial sectors are keeping fax alive, and it isn’t completely their fault.

Do they ever test anything that’s not on a huge screen before rolling to prod?
I feel this way all the time. I used to have to tell my (often less experienced) coworkers “that’s unusable on a device, which is how 75% of our traffic will consume it.”
It was usually because it looked nice on a huge monitor, and in an emulator.
It’s still commonly used in STEM fields.
For many, a mobile device is their sole computer, and things of importance to them are stored on it.
LibreOffice too for that matter. Kick 'em a few bucks if you can spare it.
Some devs will include a whole library for one thing instead of trying to learn another way to do that thing.
I feel like the Adobe marketing is somewhat pointless. Anyone that has been in the target industries for any amount of time already know the deal.
GIMP is not Photoshop. They are not competitors. It’s a difficult transition. I’m not sure we should even bother drawing a comparison.
I’ve used Photoshop since 1992. I know, I’m old. I started using GIMP about four years ago. I recently got to the point where I can function.
Money and momentum is a motherfucker. Adobe has fuck you money. GIMP has volunteers. Those that don’t like their site should volunteer time or money.
Edit: fwiw I like the GIMP site better too.
Absolutely, and thanks for asking. Also, congrats! I’d recommend looking at credit unions (US/Canada) and higher ed. Both are non-profits and good stepping stones. Either can be a career if you don’t want a ‘stepping stone.’ Depending on how altruistic you want to be, you can find either that serve underserved communities. CUs pay better, but are more corporate and demanding. Higher ed doesn’t pay as well, but is more laid back if you can ignore politics, which there is a ridiculous amount of. I worked at a HBCU (US) for a long time, and it was pretty great. Depending on where you are, it’s usually pretty easy to find an open spot at either.
Me too, 2010ish though. I wish I could figure out how to boycott AWS. As an aged developer with a little bit of influence, I’ve steered plenty of clients, employers, and peers away, but I still use the internet. There’s no detaching from that.
Just looking at that workspace makes my neck hurt.
Those brands are at the bottom of every dependability list. You’d think they’d focus on building a better product so they could compete on something other than feels.
The outage occurred yesterday when an employee responded to an abuse report about a phishing URL in Cloudflare’s R2 platform. However, instead of blocking the specific endpoint, the employee mistakenly turned off the entire R2 Gateway service.

Classic Press is a fork of WordPress that leaves out Gutenberg and has all the legacy PHP < 7.4 stuff stripped out. It’s nice.

You can with Android.
Settings > Connections > More Connection Settings > Private DNS > Private DNS Hostname.
You will need the hostname though instead of just the IP address.
“Meh, fuck it. Good enough. We’ll fix it in phase two.”
I want up, down, on, off. If I feel the need to tinker, I’ll start yet another project that I’ll probably never finish.
I suppose it has more to do with the opportunity for a significant breach. The healthcare provider’s email system is a big target full of exploits. Fax is also
HIPPAHIPAA compliant, email is not.
