I have been disappointed in tuta myself as well. They seem to be too privacy and security focused at the cost of being hard to use.
I tried Tudor and proton’s free tier, and I couldn’t deal with how they can’t use a normal email client.
On the other hand, I’ve been trying to use Thunderbird with my next cloud calendar and it keeps hanging for me on Ubuntu. So maybe trying to use Thunderbird is a recipe for disaster as well. I don’t know what to do.
2·2 days agoI think so. I used to work in a bike shop though, so I don’t know if I’ll ever be able to overcome the cringe of riding one.
All kidding aside, they do tend to be expensive and take up more space and a lot of bike shops don’t like working on them.

Yes they do last a long time. They can be a great option. Just not easy to fix if something goes wrong.
You don’t have to clean a regular chain that often, but it will last longer if you do. A regular chain is perfectly fine to use in the rain / snow/ etc.
In my mind, I know the chain and cassettes will wear out, so when they do, I would rather have ones I can replace myself. But an internal geared hub is a great option as well. It is lower maintenance, but with the trade off that it is difficult to work on.

They are a pain if they ever break. You basically have to replace it or get a specialist to work on it.
