nivenkos@lemmy.mlto Linux@lemmy.ml•Must fight temptation to buy an overpriced raspberry pi1·18 days agoIt’s been a while but I remember Orange Pi having terrible support? I haven’t heard of the others.
Whereas the RPi has the amazing compute module if you need it too.
Sometimes paying more is better.
nivenkos@lemmy.mlto Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•Which communities are good for finding some people to talk to whether its out of boredom, loneliness, or a need to vent?1·19 days agoDiscord. I mostly post in an Ultima 7 modding community and helped out a bit but we also just talk about video games and stuff.
It’s hard to find the smaller servers where you can actually have a decent discussion though, just like IRC back in the day.

Are you British?
Where I’m from almost everyone supported Brexit - due to the huge amount of Eastern European workers that undercut British construction workers and students. Nevermind the unpopular EU stuff like not being able to lower VAT or exclude more products too.
Putin had nothing to do with it.
Meanwhile the real issue here is that Europe should have built nuclear power and never depended on gas and oil imports.
Yeah, the Pi moving to full computer thing is weird because the SD card is still a massive bottleneck on normal day-to-day usage.
