Last I heard, the thread account/user has to opt in to the federation. So unless the account has done that, you won’t see their posts from a mastodon server.

You don’t have any place for outgoing mail?? That’s wild. Most people in houses just clip outgoing mail to their mailbox for the postman to pick up. I would’ve assumed apartments always had an outgoing box if they’re using one of those walls of mailboxes.
I’m of the opinion he should’ve shut the fuck up or said better words, so I don’t have any interest in trying to answer that for you.
lol that is done with money, not social media posts. A CEO should know that.
FWIW I am not enjoying the Proton app experience. I can’t favorite servers so I have to manually search and connect to the location I want each time.

The only two default feeds you get are literally an algo free timeline and discover timeline, it defaults to the algorithm free timeline iirc.
Sure, their discover tab is closed source algorithm but you don’t have to use it. In addition, you can create and import your own algorithms (which becomes necessary because you can’t follow hashtags, which is frustrating)

I use both Dropbox and iCloud to sync Obsidian vaults and have no issues. No need to pay their subscription in my experience.
I’ve been on mastodon for a couple of years and received my first like that just over the past week.

kobra@lemm.eeto Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•Why do most people stay in centralized social media platforms when the Fediverse exists?26·4 months ago- Ease of use
The combination of having to choose an instance and then start with an algorithm free blank slate is a tough ask. It literally takes time to sit down and setup your initial “feed”, which is probably a good thing, but not at all what attracts users whimsical curiosities nor what they’ve experienced over their entire existence with social media.
