The world needs to take a good hard look at Israel and realize they are repeating history.

I struggle to remember which series it was exactly (obviously prior to 2004). This is a memory I have etched in. My World History teacher in 10th grade gave an overview of the entire year’s curriculum on the first day. She had the class watch a large portion of what I believe was the last episode of Mobile Suit Gundam Wing (possibly it was Victory Gundam; I only watched Fighter G Gundam). By the end she made it very clear that history repeats. That was the theme of her curriculum for the whole school year.

Right now we are seeing history repeat. This time it is the formerly oppressed committing the crimes against humanity and being aided by the rest of the globe. What did Palestine ever do to Israel except seek statehood? Why can’t we leave them alone?

On an unrelated note, that teacher was awesome. I remember the week leading into the lesson on World War I, they staged incidents where select students would pretend to misbehave and not be punished in any way by the teacher. These were elaborate scenes of shouting. The lesson you might ask? Secret alliances.

I think PRO is a step in the right direction.

He would be a better judge of that observation. However I was at STLV last year and there was a sizable number of younger fans (especially those who are teenage). Maybe not a lot.

What is the age range they are classifying as young? Are they talking like teenagers or mid-20s to 30s? The thing with Star Trek that I think attributes to the non-fans not watching would be the stylization. Going back to the comparison of MCU, HP, and Star Wars: they all have something unique (be it the directing, photography, acting, writing, music, special effects, etc.) that if you pay attention for a significant period will find. Star Trek is no different. When you watch a MCU movie or TV show you probably see the sleek costumes and fast paced fight choreography. With HP, it was probably all the special effects, makeup and set design. For Star Wars it might be the writing, special effects and music.

I’m being non-specific here of course. Star Trek like I said is no different. There are visual and non-visual language being utilized that we find enjoyment in. For anyone not currently into these properties, it could be difficult to enjoy. Especially if you haven’t been someone who watched these properties from a young age or from the early years. For example, if you had someone exposed to only the Kelvin Timeline try to watch TOS or TNG with no context for how it relates, a disconnect might form. Visually those series are not as sleek or modernized as those movies.

As for the comparison to video games… that is simply a different medium. What appeals to one person to the next will be hard to gage. That doesn’t preclude the likes of Fortnite players from enjoying Trek, but culturally that kind of entertainment is very different from what a kid who grow up with TNG was exposed to.

How do you feel about your species being used as the nomenclature for “test subject”?

I owned a Xbox branded HDD that stopped working after 60 days. It was exactly 61 days. I had tried to get a refund at Best Buy where I bought it and they refused because their return policy said 60 days.

I simply refuse to purchase a Seagate product ever again.

Was this the story I expected? No.

Did I enjoy this? I thought it was awesome.

The impending supernova doesn’t occur until 2387 and the latest stardate available indicates a year of 2382 (“Fully Dilated”). The synth attack on Mars, which as a reminder was orchestrated by Zhat Vash to stop the evacuation fleet, happened on First Contact Day of 2385. The closest we’ve gotten was PRO. And I can’t figure out how to add a spoiler so I won’t mention it.

With all the problems that make headline news, it is easily the one manufacturer that gets the most negative publicity. They sound like death traps and I would not go near them on purpose.
