I got offered to train AI too, tried it and hated it.
The pay was similar to my day job, but it was the most boring and tedious job I’ve done as a software developer without ANY other benefits of working for a company.
Plus I was selling my YEARS worth of studying and gained knowledge and experience for what I realised are peanuts, because once I’m replaced by the AI I trained, I won’t have earned enough money to last me till my end of days, but these fucking billionaires will be making billions from that, while I sit jobless.
I closed my account a couple of days later.

That’s because they sold and continue to sell ALL the user generated data on the platform.
That’s why people can no longer express their opinions there like calling Trump an orange turd or Elon a Nazi will get you immediately banned, because it’s bad for training data.
Essentially Reddit is now just a place for generating AI training data and all the people still using it are sad lost sheep selling themselves to AI masters.

The data is only up to 2023. I’m sure the EU has surpassed the nazi USA by now which was ruined by the orange turd, even if narrowly in a few countries.

That’s just a way of saying they support Russia. They need to be kicked the fuck out of EU union and NATO. Fucking traitors.

Isn’t this a physical trait though?

Fuck Hungry, just another Belarus in disguise. They need to be kicked the fuck out of NATO and EU union.

Outside of work AND not using any company resources, like company laptop or software.
All must be done on a personal computer with personal software licenses.

Wow, so even if you code in your spare time, using your own PC, your employer owns ALL your work??
That sounds fucked up. Just find a better employer if they won’t change your contract, they should just remove ALL such clauses. What you do in your spare time using personal resources is none of their business.

They do have contracts and are obligated to provide a certain “up time”, which is usually 99% or so. If they fail to provide that, they are liable to compensate for the losses.
Or do you think that Amazon is above the law and no other company could sue them?
It all depends on what kind of contracts they have.

That’s what you get when you let go hundreds of employees from your cloud computing unit in favour of AI.
I hope they end up having to compensate all the billions of losses they caused to all the businesses and people.
In July, its cloud computing unit cut at least hundreds of jobs — and perhaps more — following a warning from CEO Andy Jassy that the adoption of generative AI would lead to layoffs.
“As we roll out more Generative AI and agents, it should change the way our work is done,” Jassy said in a note to employees in June, per Reuters. “We will need fewer people doing some of the jobs that are being done today, and more people doing other types of jobs.”
Haa ha. Fucking idiots.

Fuck them. They’re just bluffing and I hope the EU doesn’t cave in.
US and Qatar will still sell ALL the gas the EU needs, because it won’t be easy to find another huge market where to sell it.
Like these fucking greedy bastards have any principles and would go “oh we won’t make any compromises and we will better have lower profits than sell you the gas”.
No, even if it costs them some money to abide by the EU rules, greedy bastards will never pass on the opportunity of getting more rich.

Sometimes if I want to take a short nap, it’s way easier to ask alexa or google to wake me up in 30mins, than set up an alarm.

I would guess you’d need a model that’s at least just as powerful and smart as the original model that created the content. Otherwise it’s like asking a 10 year old to proof read an article written by an adult.
