I’m not sure that you can get wallpaper engine running. Maybe someone else can say otherwise, but I wouldn’t trust second hand.

VerseAndVermin@lemmy.worldto Technology@lemmy.zip•She lost her scholarship over an AI allegation — and it impacted her mental healthEnglish10·3 months agoAn interesting read. I’ve heard stories of the same. It seems very irresponsible to tank a grade because a thing told you to while accusing a student of doing a thing because something told them to do it that way. It seems so muddy that I’m not surprised.
If nobody in the room can explain their logic, then maybe it isn’t decision making time.

VerseAndVermin@lemmy.worldto Open Source@lemmy.ml•Thunderbird "won't be adopting the firefox terms of use"English1·4 months agoI am trying Floorp as of yesterday. I like Zen Browser, but their github contributers list makes it look like it’s mostly the effort of one person and that always gives me pause until somethings been around a while. Floorp seemed more spread out so I decided to try it despite its silly name.
I’m interested in how ladybird shapes up.
Worth noting that you may have DRM issues on some forks with video content. I don’t think you will on Linux, and someone clear this if you can, but I think the alternate used can’t do 4k video? I’m not a big web media consumer so idk. Has something to do with Widevine I think.

Trying to play Minecraft Java with a controller mode and it interrupts nonstop. I too did not find a solution. I tried. It won.
Do you feel similar shortcomings from lemmy compared to reddit?
I apologize for not having more to add. I just find it interesting to see what others feel who swapped to mastadon and lemmy.

So work PCs. I had already assumed anything in a work setting can be used against me. It doesn’t make it right, but this won’t change my behavior. I already assume corpo-degeneracy is afoot anytime I touch work-tech.
“The update will enable battery management features that will reduce capacity and charging performance after the battery reaches 400 charge cycles. We’ll contact impacted customers next month, with all the information they need to address the issue.”
Isn’t that everyone? It’s wild to advertise the length of updates but have phones that keep being unable to reach that full cycle without getting kneecapped.
