I know what totalitarians say, because they say the same thing regardless of what ideology they support. “Sure x did bad thing, but also x did good thing!” “We only killed this type of person because they were enemies of the state!”

Private interests do align, but rarely. Meaning you have more chance at opposing narratives forming. Public is monovoiced. Without an opposing voice its data becomes suspect.

I have read the account of people that lived in the USSR. Stalin was a brutal leader on par with Hitler in his atrocities committed. Mao was similar. It is almost as if its Totalitarianism thats the issue. 🤔
