  • People naturally discriminate. That is 100% normal mammalian behaviour and no amount of legislation can destroy human behavior. Murder and rape have been illegal for a long time and haven’t disappeared. “Marginalised communites” must mean nonEuropeans, nonwhites. The Roma segregate themselves as do most refugees. As for “holdiing centres”, I’ve been hearing of refugees staying in very nice hotels that I could not afford if if was to go to Europe. Who is supposed to pay for all of this?

  • On a high quality flash drive, it will be decent. or, you can do the cheaper, more convenient way by installing Oracle’s free VirtualBox program and testing a bunch of distros. Be sure to try out as much of the software that a distro comes with as you can even if you dislike the distro itself. And, makes notes of the themes you like. I’d think an external drive might be a convenient option that can be used at work, at home, while visting your family in Kentucky…But, VMs are the cheapest and there is even software to clone a VM into an iso after you’ve customized it how you want it, then load the .iso onto a driveshaft to permanently install on “bare metal”.

  • Debian with KDE desktop. I prefer lighter DEs or WMs, but Debian is soooo stable and KDE looks so professional and makes it extremely easy to download packages - much easier than, say, Debian with XFCE which is what I use. When I set up linux on 2 old unused PCs for 2 coworkers after their computers died, I installed Debian with KDE and boss and coworkers were happy. Debian is the base of most distros, so sticking with Debian means more packages available usually and better tutorials and more stability. Even some foreign governments now use Debian as a base for their custom distros - China, too. I never had trouble getting Debian installed or running.

  • help people install Linux and set it up - show them how to use it. I’ve considered doing the same. I’d do the first ten installs and lessons for free just to get experience and referrals. I suppose you could buy good laptops cheaply online, load them up, make videos on YT, removedute, Odysee, etc. on how the system YOU set up works. Most of that has very little upfront costs. Are you being replaced by overseas tech support and/or cheap local imported labor?

  • NaZi stood for Na National Socialist. NaZis did a wonderful job in Germany and should have stayed in Germanic territory - Nederlands, Austria, and other Germanic lands. Loving ones own people is wonderful as long as it doesn’t lead to invading others’ lands. Ireland should be for the Irish only. Kurds and Basque also deserve self-rule. It is a general concept and if that makes me racist, I should wear the label with pride. My room is clean and organized because it is mine, within my sphere of ownership/control. My roommate’s room looks like a hurricane hit it and it stinks bad in there (I wish he’d keep his door shut). I don’t complain because that is his space. If the house gets bugs, that will affect me, but until then, I shut the hell up and worry about my own space. I consider this very much like nationalism. I take responsibility and pride into my own realm. How racist of me! Oh, and he’s a Jew.

  • are you saying that Jews are a race? I keep seeing articles saying that race is a failed concept, that there is no white race, so certainly there cannot be a black race, a yellow one, or a Jewish one. Gotta be consistent. I lived in New Work City (Manhattan mostly) for almost 10 years and felt the full brunt of Jewish racism. I have watched the rabbis’ sermons against nonJews. It’s not that two wrongs make a right - because they rarely do. But, Jews’ pushiness is rude, condescending, and yeah, I resent it. It’s like living with a loud-mouthed mother-in-law who moves into your house and then tells you how things should be run.
