    Agentic. Yes, that’s the part of the OS everyone loves about Windows. Coming back in the morning to see it decided to update itself but got stuck in a boot loop because MS vibe codes these days. Yeahhh that’s what I want out of my operating system!

    I had to boot my Windows 10 partition up yesterday. It made me click through fucking six ads for Microsoft 365 and win11 and then said “you’re done!” with a little cartoon of an athlete with a trophy as if just booting the OS was a challenge that I overcame.

      Kinda hard to keep track, but maybe something to do with not making opt out the default option for giving the AIS permission to scan local files?

    An agentic OS would simply enable a unified API that apps can use to plugin, then the agents can be swapped in as needed.

    On Unix that’s files. On macOS that was AppleScript (as terrible as it is).

    Jamming copilot into everything isn’t an architecture.
