Oh, I thought they’d be done building by now. I visited there about 20 years ago, lol.
It is all financed by donations so they do not have a massive crew working on it. Also the entire thing is pretty much hand built. Obviously they use modern cranes and similar tools, but nearly nothing is off the shelf. In many ways it is quite similar to the construction of the gothic cathedrals.
As far as cathedral construction timelines go, it’s actually being built unusually quickly. Which is hugely impressive for such a non-standard design
The pinnacle should be completed by next year if I am not mistaken, as well as the entire exterior
