That’s funny. I was just in the woods this afternoon and I fired up a bird ID app just to find out what it was that had such a beautiful song - it was a blackcap! A male one though, of course.
Yes, I only recently learned that Blackcaps’s sing really well through the Merlin Bird ID app. No more Blackbirds getting undeserved credit :)
I am checking in too, learned about the Blackcap’s song a month ago with the whobird app. I don’t remember the song really but I remember I thought it does not really sound like a robin and also not like a blackbird.
Those apps are so nice to have.
