Fair point, fuck the lot! Having to use a Macbook for work has been the uncontestable low point of my career, awful UX.
100%. Fuck their shitty system. So many things that work out of the box with linux are a hassle to use on Macs. My keyboard, mouse, headphones, …
And so many simple things that are a given on linux and windows require a stupid paid app on mac. Want to drag the window to the left or right to split it? That’s an app. Want to assign a keyboard shortcut to open certain apps, take certain actions in sequence, etc. ? Paid app. Want to record the audio of an app in a video call? Paid app. And linux has such a good “app store” but on mac there’s nothing useful in there. If I remember correctly there were even issues with the file explorer. Can’t remember exactly what but maybe it was drag and drop not working, or sorting, or something else.
Shitty OS. Shitty apps. Shitty company.
