The tank is still the king of infantry fire support, and it continues in this role in Ukraine.
It will be interesting to see if it holds up in a complete combined arms campaign that would involve the Netherlands

I think it will, The 2a8 has trophy APS which should give it very good defense.
Trophy is great for 360° side protection, but it’s not very useful against a top down attack
there are videos of tanks that survive 5 and more FPV Drone hits with just a rusty metal cope cage.
