No one should be surprised that the Liar Merz lied. He’s been lying since I’ve known about him (only a couple years) and I’m told he’s got a history of lying. Conservative governments want to hollow out their countries for personal gain, no one should be surprised.

Stop cooperating with the parties that only want to worsen your standard of living. I don’t care if they say they care about the economy, I don’t care that they plead to supposed reason or security. They’re liars and conmen. They will destroy Germany if we let them.

Cars and car infrastructure cost far more than trains and public transit, we can’t allow conservatives to rob us of a wealthy nation that can afford to serve it’s people.

It’s infuriating that the whole EU had to drop pants to Trump last year just so Germany could sell more cars to the US.

And this year we’re dropping the pants even more so Germany can sell more cars in South America.

Meanwhile companies in the smaller EU countries absolutely can’t compete with non-auto giants from the American continent.

On the one hand I can understand that they want to invest more in maintaining/replacing the highway infrastructure since it’s old and thousands of bridges are (past) due for replacement. On the other hand it seems completely idiotic to shift money away from railroad investments, it’s so so clear that the German rail network needs a lot of money to be fixed.

It’ll take decades to sort. In Britain, Ernest Marples was transport minister 1959-64, and drove a massive transfer of resources from rail to motorway infrastructure. Of course, his family business was road construction. Rail in Britain still hasn’t recovered.

I guess I’m locked out of good reliable public transportation and the thousand of euros and months long process of taking a driver’s license
