Gas is still useful for other things, for example it’s a major component of fertilizers.
Yeah. China is doing the right thing by switching to a renewable energy economy to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. If that switch is so virtuous, why celebrate increased gas imports?
The obvious answer is that China is still in the process of transition, and renewables can’t handle the entire energy demand?
The US has created an entire parallel global economy with its rampant use of sanctions-based warfare. If you sanction everyone, eventually, you just sanction yourself as enemies freely trade with enemies.
And Trump is going to make it even worse with his plans to place tariffs on everyone from China to NATO and NAFTA partners.
All while the parallel global economy just grows and grows.
Exactly, the US has destroyed its greatest strength by abusing sanctions.
