      knowledge would be free

      I don’t know about all free, but information is a lot more accessible than it was in the 1990s, and a lot of it is free or pretty inexpensive.

      Used to be that when I wanted more information on something, I went to a library and checked out a reference book. Maybe put that book on request from another library to use its inter-library lending system. Maybe bought the book if I was going to use it repeatedly.

      Today, I’m typically just going to hit a search engine unless I need really authoritative, detailed information.

      I don’t think I can count the things that money and greed have ruined in my lifetime, it’s just too high. Pathetic.

      I feel you… if money can be made, it will probably go to shit…
