Firefox is not the only browser that hide settings, i remember when opera used the konami code to unlock settings. I think it’s just for poweruser since you are able to broke things with some of these settings.

Yes, you could be right. Document about the law is long and probably you need to read a lot of it. I just tried to find a part from it.

In those cases, the Digital Services Coordinator of establishment or the Commission should be able to request more frequent reporting from the provider of the online platform or of the online search engine on the number of active recipients of the service to be able to timely identify the moment at which that platform or that search engine should be designated as a very large online platform or very large online search engine, respectively, for the purposes of this Regulation.

I’m no lawyer, i just looked into to DMA document, maybe some other parts show better why they want the user numbers.
I have seen a few comments like that, but haven’t recognise something that affect me. There are other extension like that as well. superagent that has the option to remember your last choice and has settings to acception or decline cookies by default. But sadly need a account.
