Jezus. To think that I spend half a day yesterday making it so that the body of a table was scrollabke but the head not, without putting a div in between.
Why do I even bother anymore?

Why do I even bother anymore?
I’ve been doing this for years, but it doesn’t make any difference.
Yes, they all want us to vote for the far-right populist candidate instead.
I think the answer to your last question is “doomsaying”. Its a fucking cult and its hardwired in the Lemmy community. I agree with you though. Society might fall, a large portion of humanity might die, but we will not go extinct. We’re cockroaches. We don’t go out easily.
Teams now has a multi-account feature, whoch really changes things
Wait for it…
Jetbrains Java would be the best outcome. They’re already heavily invested in Java and in the community.
Sure there is isn’t a lot to be optimistic about. I’m not optimistic in any quantifiable sense. I just like to think “we can make it through this” rather than “we’re all gonna die”. That’s the only way how I can keep my sanity.
You guys seem like a fun bunch to hang out with
You point that out now, and it’s glaringly obvious. But somehow, when I’m writing down my thoughts, it doesn’t even pop my mind that something is badly phrased.
Remember you said “serious question”, so you’lk get a serious answer… It’s just the whole energy of it all. I don’t like it when people go “look at me, I deserve to be seen”. I get it, it’s about human rights and whatnot, but I just don’t like it. It makes me extremely uncofortable. To me it’s the same when someone in restaurant starts making a scene because something didn’t go the way they want. I don’t mean the entitlement, of course, but the confidence and the publicity of it all. It’s the complete polar opposite of who I am.
I mean, you do you, fine by me, but you’re gonna have to do it without me.
But not in this case. There’s a real emergency in Hunagry that needs to be protested and a pride parade is a very appropriate way to do it. So I would attend this one, if I had the means and oppertunity to do that.
I’m not a big fan of gay pride parades, but in this case I’m a huge fan. I’m glad to see that the harder you kick them down, the harder they bounce back. Fuck Orban!
