That’s hilarious lmao.

That’s like them fining me €1.

So they ban that IP or range of IPs and the offender moves to a different IP in a matter of seconds meanwhile the people still trying to legitimately access the site from that original IP can get fucked. Doesn’t seem like it solves anything much to me.

Do you have a VPN? I can access it from Mullvad Dublin but get the Forbidden message with Mullvad Amsterdam.

They still exist because Google isn’t really a technology company anymore. It’s an advertising company masquerading as a technology company. Their success depends on selling more ads which is why all the failed projects don’t seem to make a difference.

Can’t wait for Google to drop this after a year leaving anyone who was using it fucked.
He’s also a thief of course, as that’s the only way to become a billionaire.

I looked into ready made NAS machines but wasn’t sold on the software that came with them. Ended up building a small PC and installing OpenMediaVault on it which I have been super happy with.
Depending on how many HDD bays you need you can just buy a refurbished office Dell or HP and it’ll do the job more than adequately.
I pronounce it AUR btw.
(In all seriousness I pronounce it like Aura without the 2nd A)

That is 2 words (or 3 depending how you count the abbreviation). You’d think a dictionary could get that right.

Aye, Cinnamon i’d say is pretty Windows like now (taskbar, start menu and tray) but definitely not as good as KDE. The average user would be happy with either I think.

If you didn’t know, Ubuntu is based on Debian.

Mint has the Cinnamon desktop environment which isn’t that different from Windows/KDE. You’re probably thinking of Gnome?
I found under ‘Projects’ on the website it’s from March 2005 which makes sense given the mention of Kazaa in the introduction.
