Just adding some clarity for anyone who comes by. Just like any other community, you have Rust, Rust devs, the Rust dev community, the Rust dev community social media pages, and then the public perception of those social media pages, typically driven by clickbait “articles” about errant Reddit posts. There was a fair bit of hype at one point for Rust, and given its similar applications as C++, hype around “converting” people. This became a meme a decade ago, which like all memes just became tired thought-terminating slop. Which is how it ended up with Phoronix, but still.
Currently my favorite passwords are song lyrics from my favorite songs. You can easily hit 60 characters, and they’re easy to remember!
3·23 days agoI appreciate the question; personally, though, I think tuta is threadbare enough that giving in would honestly be a deathknell. Proton drops in privacy, they can still advertise as “better than google,” and has the userbase to survive any drop in users. If tuta follows suit, at what point are they stuck as just worse proton?

0·27 days agoI guarantee you that this is just to say he said something. And as much as I want the hostages returned, without international pressure I cannot say it would be wise. IMO Trump’s personal (dumbass) plan is “If I get Hamas to return the hostages, I bet I could finish bombing the place without anyone caring and pave it for my next resort,” because deadass I’m 100% convinced that’s the only way Bibi would EVER even play along.
