6 days agoWhy is it that when every good resource that pops up, it has to be in the US, where it gets shut down anyway, due to such strict censorship laws. Just move to Sweden or Norway or something.

I can assure you I’m not a bot, just someone who is fed up with people who mask their “altruism” to later unveil their profiteering habits, basically steering away from everything they once stood for, only to become the very thing they hate and preach against.

Internet Archive is an amazing resource that I’m grateful for. Seeing this confirms my bias of Elon Musk, that he’s a fake and doesn’t actually care about humanitarian goals, or initiatives to help people. He’s in it for himself, and he is not an actual altruist. He makes it about his money, and his power, not genuinely trying to support resources that may help people.
I’m new to Lemmy, I’m literally trying to set my account up, and understand this and the Fediverse. I used to be on Reddit, but had some severe negative experiences there. Lemmy and the Fediverse seems much more polished, and more interactive as a community.
